Reclamation Announces Riverside Campground Project

Billings, Montana - The Bureau of Reclamation is planning to modernize and rehabilitate Riverside Campground this summer below Canyon Ferry Dam and Reservoir. The construction activities will include earthwork, roadwork, campsite improvements, construction of a group use shelter, and installation of a universally accessible floating dock.

New River Project Meeting Scheduled

El Centro, California - Efforts to improve environmental conditions along the New River and U.S.-Mexico cooperation on Colorado River issues will be discussed at the May 25 public meeting of the Colorado River Citizens Forum (CRCF). The CRCF was established by the United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) to facilitate the exchange of information between the community and the Commission about USIBWC activities and related projects in the region.

Jackson Lake Dam Operations Public Meeting Set

The Bureau of Reclamation will host a public meeting to present streamflow forecasts and projected reservoir operations for Jackson Lake Dam and other Snake River reservoirs on May 19. The public meeting will be held at the Antler Inn Conference Room, 43 West Pearl Street, in Jackson, Wyoming, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Public Comment Sought on Plan to Rehabilitate Historic Buildings in Boulder City, Nevada

The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking public input on a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the rehabilitation of its Date Street 100 and Date Street 200 Buildings in Boulder City, Nevada. Under the proposed action, Reclamation would rehabilitate these historic structures for training, conference, office, and records storage purposes. The new designs and appearance of the buildings would be compatible with the Boulder City Historic District in which they are located.

Reclamation Releases Environmental Documents for Enterprise Irrigation District Well Development Pro

Reclamation has released a Draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Enterprise Irrigation District (EID) Groundwater Well Development Project for public review and comments. The EID project would provide supplemental water supplies to EID in drought years when Reclamation is unable to provide full water deliveries.

San Joaquin River Restoration Program Environmental Document Available for Public Review

California - The Bureau of Reclamation and the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) have made available for public review and comment the Draft Program Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (Draft PEIS/R) for the San Joaquin River Restoration Program (SJRRP). The joint document describes the direct, indirect and cumulative impacts of implementing the SJRRP.

High Flow Releases into Trinity River as Part of Restoration Program Announced

California - The Bureau of Reclamation today announced the schedule for high-flow releases from Lewiston Dam into the Trinity River as part of the Trinity River Restoration Program. The official water year designation for the Trinity River is “wet.” The water allocation for restoration-related flow releases associated with a wet water year is 701,000 acre-feet.
