Arizona Western College Opens New Facilities in La Paz County PDF Print E-mail

Parker, Arizona - This Thursday two new Arizona Western College learning centers will open their doors in La Paz County at a community celebration. The public is invited to attend.
 
Quartzsite will get its first-ever dedicated AWC building (5,886 sq. ft.), and Parker’s new building (19,870 sq. ft.) is in addition to the current La Paz Learning Center and Technology Center in Parker.
 
Ceremony and ribbon cutting, followed by refreshments and self-guided tours, are scheduled for noon in Quartzsite and 4:00pm in Parker. The Quartzsite campus is at 695 N. Kofa Ave. at Quail, adjacent to Quartzsite Elementary, and the Parker campus is at 11th Street & Geronimo, adjacent to the current Parker Learning Center.
 
Both buildings feature multipurpose community/classrooms, a one-stop student services shop, computer labs and wireless internet access. Each also includes a fitness center with showers for students enrolled in fitness classes.
