Pembina, North Dakota - United States Customs and Border Protection is advising the traveling public that numerous roads and highways have been closed due to flooding in the Red River Valley. It is anticipated that Highway 75 in Minnesota will be closed north of the city of Humboldt, Minnesota, effective the evening of April 14.

All Pembina service area ports remain open for processing both commercial and passenger vehicle traffic with the exception of Neche, N.D. All commercial traffic traveling from Canada through the Neche port of entry will now have to use an alternate route. The Manitoba Highway Department has installed a berm across the highway north of Neche at the Gretna, Manitoba port of entry. Commercial traffic is not being permitted.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection will temporarily accept all valid commercial permits for the Neche port of entry at the Walhalla, North Dakota, port of entry. Commercial traffic may also utilize the Pembina port of entry.

The port of Neche remains open and is processing light passenger vehicles only. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7 days a week. The port of Walhalla hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and are open 7 days a week.
